Would you like to be able to get in contact with your buyers and potential buyers instantly? I mean as in RIGHT NOW this second! I’m not talking about waiting for them to open an email you sent them or them seeing your latest post on your website or blog. I mean right after you click the submit button they get your message.

You can do this by using this website called twitter. This amazing site allows buyers and potential buyer (followers) to catch a glimpse of what you are doing or have to say. You can actually send a 140 character message (Twit) to all the people who have subscribed to follow you. Why not send them a message about your latest listings, sales you are having, how you are feeling, what you are up to, etc.

Most people talk about all kinds of personal and interesting things about what’s going on. The information ranges from random thoughts, what people are looking at, how they’re feeling, and what they’ve overheard. It’s a great way to get information as to give information.

So How Can I Use This With eBay?
Now that the new eBay link policy is not happening, you can actually have a link, on your “About Me” page, to have people follow you on twitter. Better yet you can have an image, within your auction listings, linked to your about me page. Once they click the image within your listing they are forwarded to your about me page where they can click on the image again to follow you. Now you will be able to communicate with your followers instantly.

Twitter allows you to become more personal with your buyers. They will no longer think of you as just “a person that sold me something over the Internet”. They will actually see you as an actual person. Getting that type of vision in your followers minds is priceless.
