I’m always amazed at how people try to take advantage of others with eBay. Most of the time the person selling on eBay receives payment from a buyer and never sends the item. Or better yet they send something that was totally misrepresented in their auction listing. Either way they are scammers and give honest eBay sellers a bad rap. They should all be taken to court and let justice prevail..

I recent saw a video about an ebay scammer going to small claims court, AKA Judge Judy. The scammer was a young mom of three kids whom kept stating the buyer received what they paid for. She claims that both eBay auctions clearly state they will be receiving a photo of the item and that it’s not her fault the buyers can’t read. Yet she places these items in the wrong category and fills in the item details as if it was the actual items and not a photo of the items.

Now don’t get me wrong, as a buyer I sometimes neglect to read the entire auction description. I know I’m not the only person that does this. I know this because it has happen to several people I have sold to. You see I sell vintage magazine ads, www.notjustprints.com, and several times the buyer realizes they have purchased a print ad and not the actual item. They email me and request a refund due to them not reading the eBay auction listing.

Now I could be just like the young girl and say, “You will get what you paid for. It’s not my fault you can’t read.” But since I’m in the business of making buyers happy, I always refund them their money and also remind them that if they are ever looking for vintage print ads to keep in mind.

Remember as you sell on eBay, you should treat others the same way you want to be treated. Do you go on eBay looking to be scammed? I’m sure you don’t. So don’t try to scam others and sell on eBay the right way…
