“The current economic situation has made many consumers very price-sensitive, which can cause vicious price wars between sellers,” says eBay expert Jen Cano. “Sellers often feel they’re backed into a corner and that a price war is their only option; but there are other alternatives.”

During the webinar, Cano and Amy Kendall, HammerTap’s research education specialist, will discuss how you can use competitive analysis and buyer behavior to differentiate your products, stand out from the crowd and avoid the price war.

“Price wars are based on the fact that ‘All things being equal…the lowest price always wins the war,’” says Kendall. “The trick is to make things unequal and add value to your listings so you can avoid the war altogether.”
