Great News! eBay has announced a 25¢ fixed price promotion for the rest of this month. Now until the end of July you will be able to list your items at a fixed rate for only 25¢.

There is no need to worry about your asking price. What ever it is, $500.00 or $1,000.00, it’s only going to cost you a quarter to sell it at a fixed price listing.

eBay is actually promoting eBay store sellers to move their inventory into fixed price listing for more exposure. Not sure if doing this will increase your exposure. You will need to try it out and see if it works for you.

When is it?
Starting Wednesday, July 16, 2008 between 00:00:01 PT (12:00 AM plus one second on Wednesday, July 16, 2008) and ending on Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at 23:59:59 PT (11:59 PM plus 59 seconds).

What are the fees?
Insertion fees for Fixed Price listings will be 25¢ on the U.S. site www.ebay.com as reflected in the fee table below. Listings created prior to July 16, 2008 which are scheduled to start during the promotional period July 16-29, 2008 will be eligible to receive the promotional rate.

Please note: For sellers listing with any tool other than the latest version of the Sell Your Item form (SYI 3.0) the promotional price will not be shown during the listing process. Instead the discount will be reflected in the “View Account Status” section in My eBay, as well as in your next invoice.

I am happy to see eBay using more promotions for us sellers. But it seems eBay is really pushing us to use fixed price for our listings. I don’t know about you, but I’m going to place some of my items at fixed price and see if it really makes a difference in my revenue.
