Do you sell and buy using the same eBay account? Did you know that if you do something wrong as a buyer eBay can close your account? The same account which is putting money in your pocket. Wouldn’t it be great if you can have your very own seller account. An account that is not connected to your buying account.

Did you know that you can open more than one eBay account? It’s true, you can have an eBay buyer account and a separate eBay seller account. You can now do your bargain shopping on one account and do business on the other. So you no longer need to worry about your buying affecting your selling and vise versa.

All you need to do is go to www.eBay.com and click on the register button. Fill in all the information as you did with your existing account. The only thing you are going to do is enter in a different email address. Then click the register button on the bottom of the form. Follow the rest of the eBay process and presto! You now have a new eBay seller account.

There are several other benefits to having a separate eBay accounts. You can now spy on your competitors. You can actually buy from your competitors with your buyer account and see what their selling process is. Meaning you can now see how they communicate, how they get people to purchase additional items, how they package their item, etc.. With this new found information you now have a plan to follow. Better yet you can now add to what you have learned, making you even better than your competition.

Since you used your buyer account the competition does not even know you are spying them. If you only use one account, your buyer will be able to see you are coming and realize you are spying. The worst part about spying is getting caught. So use your buyer account to do some 007 work on your competition.

Have you seen an auction for an item that you know you could have sold for much more money? If you are like me, I’m sure you have. Guess what? You can now buy these items from your buyer account and resell them on eBay with your seller account. The seller of the item will never know you resold the item. I’ve actually done this myself.

I once sold a Wizard of Oz record album for $42.00. A few weeks later I searched on eBay to see if anyone was selling that same exact album. Low-and-behold I found someone who was selling the exact album for only $4.95 + $6.00 for shipping and handling. That’s $10.95 for an item I recently sold for $42.00. So I bought it and resold it a week later for $57.00. The best part was that the seller didn’t even know I resold it.
