Today I am going to answer the second most asked question. The answer to this question is a very important step in enjoying and making more money on eBay.

How Do I Identify My Area Of Interest For eBay?
There is a saying, ” If you enjoy what you do, you will never call your job work.” The same is true with selling on eBay. I’m sure you may have or had a job you disliked doing but did it because you needed the money. I know I have. Those bill collectors don’t want to hear I can’t pay you because I’m looking for a job I like.

There is no reason you can not have the added benefit of doing something you absolutely enjoy as you make money with your online auction business on eBay. Remember you are selling on eBay to put more money in your pocket. Not create another job for yourself.

One of the most important things you need to do is to take the time to identify and examine the areas you enjoy. Write down all the things that you like to do, places you like to go, sports you like to do, Hobbies you love to do, etc. These are the areas you will have to look and find ways to turn them into an eBay business.

Look at what I have done with one of my stores, Out-Of-Print-Collectibles. Ever since I was a little kid I always liked to collect toys. I would save up my money to buy the latest action figure or accessory. I always loved to add to my collection. So when I started to sell on eBay guess what I started to sell?

See I started to sell on an area I knew a lot about and also enjoyed. If I would have selected something else I probably would not still be selling on eBay. I enjoy talking to customers about their purchase and about their collection. Every once in a while I actually swap figures with past customers.
They ship me figures only available over seas and send them figures only available in the United States.

As you can see you need to figures out what areas you enjoy and find a way to make them into an eBay business. Just something to keep in your mind, you don’t always need to sell a product. Meaning you don’t always need to sell something that is in the retail market. If you are a writer you can sell your books or reports. If you are creative and make home make items, you can sell those too. Don’t always think you need to sell what others are selling too.
